Thomas Bergs is the founder of Aixtooling GmbH and Managing Partner since June 2005.
After taking his doctoral degree in laser material processing, Thomas Bergs was initially the Managing Chief Engineer of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology in Aachen. He continues in this capacity to this day. Thomas Bergs heads up numerous international research projects. In this capacity, he can support and monitor the networking of Aixtooling GmbH with leading research service providers.

Bernd Bresseler is a founding member of Aixtooling GmbH. After finishing his studies in mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen, he worked as a scientific employee at Fraunhofer IPT from 1998 to 2006. His focus there was on machining hard and brittle materials. Bernd Bresseler managed the precision machining group in the Process Technology Department under Professor Fritz Klocke for several years.
Since moving to Aixtooling GmbH in summer of 2006, Mr. Bresseler has headed up the Die and Mold Making Department, and has been Managing Partner for the Marketing and Production departments since 2009.

Guido Pongs is also a founding member of Aixtooling GmbH. Guido Pongs also studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen, and worked from 2000 to 2007 at Fraunhofer IPT as a scientific employee. His focus there was on the development of technology for the precision molding of optical glass.
Since moving to Aixtooling GmbH in January, 2008, Guido Pongs has headed up the Precision Molding Department, and since 2009 has been the managing partner for the R&D and Engineering departments.

Florian Emonts-Holley has been the head of fabrication in the Tooling Department of Aixtooling GmbH since March, 2007.
Florian Emonts-Holley had previously completed his training as a precision engineering mechanic at RWTH Aachen, and also completed a 4-year on-the-job training program at the end of 2006 to qualify as a state-certified technician.

Gert Menke completed his studies in computer science at RWTH Aachen at the beginning of 2009. Since 2002, he has worked at the Fraunhofer IPT as a work-study assistant in the area of ultrahigh-precision machining.
Since February 2009, Mr. Menke is employed by Aixtooling GmbH and is overseeing the development of relevant CAx technologies.

Sebastian Masannek studied mechanical engineering at the Aachen Technical University and completed his studies at the end of 2008. From 2000 to 2008, he worked at Fraunhofer IPT as a work-study assistant in the area of precision glass molding. Mr. Masannek has worked at Aixtooling GmbH since November, 2008. He oversees the precision molding department and is also responsible for the GMP machine service.

Daniel Roth finished his studies in mechanical engineering ath the Aachen Technical University (FH) in October 2009. He was employed at the Aixtooling GmbH as student researcher since the foundation in the year 2005. Hence, he is well informed about all relevant work flows within the company. Within his diploma thesis Daniel Roth has developed a new concept for a comprehensive production control system for the process chain of precision glass molding.
From November 2, 2009 Daniel Roth is full time employed at Aixtooling and is responsible for Quality Management.
